U.S. Air Force Academy and U.S. Air Force Academy Association & Foundation officials conducted a ribbon cutting for a new memorial honoring recipients of the Distinguished Graduate Award Thursday, July 23.

Made possible through the generosity of Hugh '64 and Nan Williamson, the Distinguished Graduate Award Memorial creates a sustainable and lasting tribute to recipients of the Academy's prestigious lifetime achievement award. The memorial celebrates each class of honorees individually while recognizing their collective place within the enduring legacy of the Long Blue Line of graduates.

In his remarks, Superintendent Lt. Gen. Tony Bauernfeind '91 highlighted the lives of service Distinguished Graduates have led. “They are exemplars of service to our nation,” he said.
